Conichalcite and Calcite

Over the last couple of years some interesting finds have been made in Mt Isa-Cloncurry copper belt in North Queensland and this piece is a nice example of white calcite with colourful grass green Conichalcite covering sections of chocolate brown base rock.

Dravite

Olivine

A very good piece with unusually large sections of olivine, variety peridot crystals. Formed more than a million years ago deep down under earth's crust and brought to the surface by volcanic eruptions this "Olivine Bombs", also known as "Volcanic Bombs", have a rough pitted surface of scoria, but when cut or broken they come to life exhibiting thousands of sugar like sparkling green crystals of olivine.

The range of hills to the east of Adelaide is renowned as a source of quartz crystals of exceptional clarity and beauty; the White Rock quarry produced over the years many spectacular crystals treasured in many collection and museums around the world.
The 6 cm long crystal is water clear at the top end, translucent at the lover end, with a number of clear small crystal attached on the side, and a larger part crystal at the lower end.
