METEORITES, TEKTITES & MoreMOLDAVITES Moldavites are rare, glassy, translucent, dark green types of tektite found in Czech Republic and are sometimes used as gemstones in jewellery. Moldavite is a silica-based tektite, a mineral formed when a meteorite struck the Earth's surface and melted and fused the surrounding rocks. All Moldavites illustrated are perfect, no damage at all.
