Emerald   

Muzo Mine, Vasquez-Yacopi Mining District, Boyaca Departmnt, Colombia.

An excellent thumbnail, a cluster of gemmy lustrous perfectly terminated nice green Emerald crystals with minor quartz on brown host rock. The specimen was originally purchased by Brian Shelton in 1975 from Minex, a lapidary and mineral shop in Melbourne and it was part of Brian collection all this years.

Pyromorphite

Gemmy, honey-reddish hessonite crystals to 8 mm covering the top of the base rock from this classic Canadian locality.

Several hooper octahedral crystals perched on top of each other form this beatiful miniature of sparkling sharp Hematite crystals pseudomorphing magnetite, and this speimens come from an Argentinian volcano in a national park that is now off limits to any collecting.

Spessartine and Smoky Quartz

Generous covering of translucent, very lustrous Spessartine garnets on whitish base rock with a number of lustrous dark black smoky quartz crystals partly covered with Spessartine crystals.

Dioptase on Malachite   SOLD

Reneville, Brazzaville Region, Repubnlic of Congo.

A unique specimen of a lustrous, terminated, large 17 x 8 mm Dioptase crystal attached to a couple of small deep green Malachite nodules without matrix. There is another small Dioptase crystal at the lower end of the specimen and the missing parts on Malachite nodules are not recent, but part of Mother Natures creation. Ex. Brian Shelton collction with an original label "Collecton M. Jouty".
