The range of hills to the east of Adelaide is renowned as a source of quartz crystals of exceptional clarity and beauty; the White Rock quarry produced over the years many spectacular crystals treasured in many collection and museums around the world. The 6 cm long crystal is water clear at the top end, translucent at the lover end, with a number of clear small crystal attached on the side, and a larger part crystal at the lower end.
